Another factor is women’s requirements for a mate at the same level or higher in society. When you make 60% of college students female and consider skilled trades beneath you, a third of those female college graduates won’t find an “equal” mate and often won’t marry.
The irony is that the skilled tradesman is making more than the guy who barely passed with an ethnic studies degree but is seen as inferior.

I call that smart investing. Instead of wasting his money being indoctrinated into ethnic studies, they wisely invested in the tools for their trade and should the world go to hell in a handbasket, they have a skill that will be useful instead of useless.
