It's hard for some to accept because the assertion is utter balderdash. The guy has been in office less that 60 days and you want to push that narrative? "He's made it clear from the beginning"?
President Trump will see to it that the 0bamacare replacement legislation does everything expected of it by his supporters.
There will doubtless be more entitlement reform to come at some point. Indeed, repealing and replacing 0bamacare is entitlement reform, of course, but to think that no more entitlement reform will occur simply because it's not the top priority at this moment is simply not accurate.
There is just no doubt that many of the policy minds in Trump's inner circle believe entitlement reform to be a very important issue to deal with, at least eventually. It is clearly an aspect of the task of "draining the swamp", so I seriously doubt that it will be completely ignored.
Not much of what Trump does is going to make the Establishment stand up and cheer, other than maybe some of the defense spending...
That’s a great show of faith in one man.
It is tough for me to understand what it is based upon though. Trump loves the fed involvement in SS, medicare, medicaid, etc. And his daughter is not helping, she’s reportedly lobbying for more fed level entitlements regarding daycare, paid time off, etc.
It certainly seems like blinded faith at this point to expect that he will do so. But if it makes you feel better, I do hope and pray he breaks his promises to protect federal entitlements.
