UPDATE (FROM GLENN): I had lunch at Shoney’s today. All the waitresses seemed to have shown up. Related: ‘A Day Without a Woman’ is a strike for privileged protesters. “Make no mistake, March 8 will mostly be a day without women who can afford to skip work, shuffle childcare and household duties to someone else, and shop at stores that are likely to open at 10 and close at 5.” Lots of public employees taking a day of “personal leave” by all appearances.
A day without women was a big bust.
I went all over town today trying to find breakfast. I can’t make my own, so I have to outsource. Everywhere I went, the fast food and breakfast places all said “we can’t do that either without women”. Lunch came along, same thing. I have my fingers crossed about dinner. But now I need to change my shirt, and I have no clean ones.
I had business to do in a business that has 5 nice women working there. I said: “What are you doing here?This is ladies day off or something.” One immediately said: “This is reality!” “No work. No job. No money!”
These are the millions of men who give all those engaged in these silly remembrances and protests the right to do so. These are the ones to recognize this day and everyday.

It will be hailed as a big success though by the purveyors of fake news, and the women that participated will all congratulate themselves and think they did a wonderful monumental thing.

Here in northeast NJ it was a flop; all of my female co-workers, and those of my wife, went to work today. A dozen miles to the east, the news is reporting demonstrations in NYC - but even these started AFTER the workday. Very odd - a MASS of Palestinian flags at the one I just saw in NYC on the news...
These “spontaneous demonstrations” espousing various causes are just the same losers with different signs - they are just “the losers of 2016” (and reading the signs indicates that - they espouse every idea that lost last year).
Hmm, could be because it was organized by a Palestinian woman. Heard she went to jail too. After being told that they would be arrested if the blocked the roadways, she and several others were arrested, from what I read.
Seems odd to wave that flag when demonstrating for “women”; Palestinians aren’t “progressive Muslims” (like many Turks, who’ll drink a beer or let their women show their hair).
Kind of funny when one thinks about it. They want women to be looked at “more positively” and to be hired and paid at least as much as men, then they go and show that men are more reliable and not so apt to leave the business high and dry on a whim....
