Timmy — I like the way you think. Everyone, including the author (David Catron) has an opinion. He labels the quest for a total free market and repeal as nonsense. It is no more nonsense than his unsupported musings. Like a lot of people today, he wants a quick resolution. Personally, I’m in favor of a quick, down and dirty, repeal. If that doesn’t happen, I’d like a slow and torturous repeal. Said another way - I’d like a total repeal and return to the free market. If insurance could not be afforded then this is America. If someone wants it, and can’t afford it, there will be other options like before. How bad do they want it? A not so small additional item for me is to repeal all mandates and taxes. The federal government has no Constitutional authority to meddle in either health care, or health insurance.

I think the people preexisting exemptions should be grandfathered in and after say six months to a year after the bill is passed, go cold turkey and begin offering traditional insurance where you pay money in before you get sick.
