Fifty-three undocumented foreign nationals living in Kentucky were recently arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An immigration order issued by President Trump in late January said any immigrant living in the country illegally could be up for deportation, but the government has described the arrests as routine.
Arrests were made last month in Louisville, Lexington, Shelbyville, and Owensboro. Twenty-two of the 53 illegal immigrants were convicted criminals. Their convictions included DUI, burglary, drug possession, theft, and wanton endangerment.
Eleven had been previously deported from the U.S. and illegally re-entered. Most were from Guatemala and Mexico.
Officials with Immigration and Customs Enforcement declined to be interviewed, but said the arrests were not part of a raid or crackdown. According to ICE, the Kentucky arrests were the result of targeted enforcement operations across the nation which are done regularly.
The government says it focused on immigrants in the country illegally who posed a threat to national security or public safety.
HOORAY I.C.E.
I want to be an ICE agent. Be so fun throwing these invading dirt bags into a van.
WINNING!
What really sucks here is that LEO’s knew about these bastards for years. They knew who they were, where they lived and the long list of crimes they committed. And continued to commit.
But under the Obama Regime; they were powerless to stop them, arrest them, and certainly powerless to deport them.
FUBO, you POS.
Thank God for President Trump and his law and order vision for America.
I imagine a bunch of them are letting ICE know who and where they are right about now.
GO TRUMP GO!!
GO TRUMP GO!!
Cant WAIT until ICE comes south to Nashville Metro and goes to all the construction sites.
The snowflakes say that our “carbon footprint” is the number one threat to “national security”. All of these illegal aliens have enlarged America’s footprint to a 16EEE.
I told my son-in-law he should look into working for ICE (in a non-border patrol capacity) after he gets out of the Marine Corps.
I hear they are hiring.
ICE raid headcounts are very similar to the daily casualty counts in the Vietnam era or Iraq under Bush.
There were no such raid/arrest disclosures under Clinton or Obama.
Somehow the left gets to command the language. Every article uses “undocumented” when the correct term is “illegal”. The same goes for the nonsensical term “transgender”. It’s fiction. Nobody is born in the wrong body. They are homosexuals, transvestites.
Wasn’t in Vietnam or Iraq.
The 31 others are crimillegals who haven't gone through the courts.
ICE can't find an illegal in a Mexican protest parade. This round up is a tiny drop in the bucket. Still better than nothing. Now, lets see if they actually get deported and how many beat ICE back home.
These numbers are still WAY too small. I want to see (literally) 1,000 a day being deported. Combine that with the ones who will self-deport when they see it happening, and we could restore the rule of law. 53 in a month in four towns combined is a nice symbol, but it’s still just a footnote.
