I had the same thought earlier today. The money saved by not allowing people who have illegally entered our country from using Medicaid, would probably pay medical bills for all the low income CITIZENS of our country.

I don’t know how you keep passing this falsehood that it will take 60 votes to repeal. They would need 60 votes to end the filibuster but NOT TO OVERTURN. And with the nuclear option it could end with a simple majority’s.
I don’t know if it is to save face with respect to Trump being a fiscal liberal by trying to soften what this actually is or truly just don’t know. You can trash the house bill and rightfully so.
But where is Senator Cruz’s Bill? Where is the Senate Bill?
I'm sure there's plenty of dirt around about Uniparty Senators and I'm also sure there are more than a few people who would welcome an opportunity to spill the beans. This is but one place I've seen that 60 votes needed reference. I'm seen this requirement elsewhere also.
Trump also promised that “everybody will be taken care of”. Now some people here spun that as meaning the government would pay for everyone’s health care, which he didn’t mean. He was talking about those too poor to afford insurance on their own and are now dependent on it. The fact is that tens of millions of people who lost their old insurance from work are now enrolled in Obamacare. Just repealing it and leaving those people in the lurch would also be a political disaster, and a violation of Trump’s campaign promise. The RATS designed Obamacare to be as difficult to unravel as possible, and they did a good job at that part. If it’s simply repealed the RATS with help from some conservatives will just block any new bill and wait for the fallout. I think that’s the reason Trump want’s repeal and replace to be simultaneous.

And in time - I trust the Repugs in the House and Senate can get their act together and deliver a decent bill.

I think he’s on the right track here by having Congress DENY funding for ObamaCare.
And I might add, remove any and all enforcement provisions and you’ll have 20,000 plus pages of the Affordable Healthcare Act that are as worthless as used toilet paper.
