Another day, another fake news story from The Resistance: The Last Line of Defense. This time it is titled "BREAKING: Fox News Just Fired Their Most Controversial Anchor" and it claims Shepard Smith was fired by Rupert Murdoch himself. The article opens:
Fox News has finally had enough of one of their most controversial anchors. After speaking out against President Trump on multiple occasions and embarrassing the network publicly, Shep Smith has been given his walking papers.
Rupert Murdoch, head honcho at Fox, told insiders that Shep was let go for his obvious disrespect for President Trump, his unscripted outbursts on live television and allowing his personal life to interfere with his television persona.
This is followed by a fake quote from Rupert Murdoch:
"Shep has shown that he's not the kind of anchor suitable for the Fox News audience. While we respect his right to have a liberal opinion and his right to choose his sexual orientation, our viewers don't need to be exposed to it. Maybe Shep can go work for MSNBC and get a show with Rachel Maddow."
How do we know this news is fake, even though several other sites are reporting the same 'news'?
Simple: "The Resistance: The Last Line of Defense" is a fake news website that carries following disclaimer on its about page:

Set the hook and just reel them in.
D*mn. Oh well, I don’t watch any of the networks, the radio networks broadcast the summarized fake news each hour.
I go to Drudge, FR, and Instapundit when I want some real news.
Well shoot! At least I didn’t get a chance to waste any money on champagne and party hats yet.
I KNEW it was too good to be true.
It was the Russians, they have it in for poor Shep.
Oh!
I thought he was just participating in the “Day without Women”...
UGGHHH...
I was LOLing at all the folks on the “Fired” thread yucking it up without having confirmation.
I knew they didn’t fire him. He’s probably the Avon rep for the FOX employees when he’s not spewing his BS.
Too bad. Then again wouldn’t start watching foxnews. FBN way better.
Does this mean that conservativeliveblog-eagleforum.com in not a reliable news source? SHOCKING!!
Not fired... but did Shep show up for work today or try to make a point about a Day Without Women?
Much better! I love watching Maria Bartiromo in the morning. Even having Julie Roganski on set didn't make me change channels.
Oops. No hard feeling Shep. We uh, we didn’t mean all that awful stuff we just said about you.
Every time I see him, I wonder where Moe and Curly are.
Post of the day
Even if the news was fake my happiness was real.
