I think they’re putting in a refundable tax credit, ie, a payment from the U.S. treasury directly to people (not necessarily even citizens) whether they’ve had a tax liability or not that they’re supposed to use to buy insurance. It’s a federal welfare check and is unconstitutional meddling.

A tax deduction for health insurance premiums would probably pass constitutional muster if there are no mandates or strings attached (until we repeal the 16th amendment and abolish the income tax, that is).

It looks like a vote today is getting less and less likely. One guy I heard said no way he’s voting for anything that isn’t written on paper yet. I certainly agree with that.

Bump. NO RYANCARE! Let Obamacare die, as it's been doing from day one with their epic computer fail.

Facts:
Many Doctors have retired early so as not to deal with Obamacare;
A number of health insurance companies have folded;
Premiums and deductibles have increased and will continue to increase;
Buying INSURANCE after the fact (pre-existing conditions) is ludicrous;
The ridiculous concept of any grown adult under 26 must be added to their parents' plan is just dumb;
A large proportion of the newly "insured" were actually added to the Medicaid roles;
Health INSURANCE is not a right. It's a product to purchase.;
Chief Justice Robert's decision that citizens could be taxed for not buying a product was highly un-Constitutional;
The Fedgov has NO mandate in the Constitution to even be involved.
The ACA only got half the participation they anticipated;

I'm sure I'm missing some things, but what really stands out is the fact this Obama/Pelosi debacle was passed in the dead of night with NO Republican votes. The entire idea of "passing it to see what's in it" was abhorrent to anyone with 2 brain cells. Wonder if the insurance companies are still happy they lobbied for more policy buyers to increase their bottom lines?

I agree, but a surprising number of people seem to think that repeal is impossible. I’ve gotten nothing but flak from expressing my opinion.

Laura Ingraham was blabbering on Special Report tonight about how “they know they can’t get full repeal.”

We got it through both houses before, and as Senator Cruz has pointed out, if the parliamentarian rules that they can’t do it on reconciliation, Vice President Pence (as President of teh Senate) can overrule her.

Ryan is in the House, not the Senate!

Maybe Ryan can muster up the votes for full repeal, then walk the bill to the floor of the Senate and, on camera, tell the the boys and girls there that they ALL promised to repeal Obamacare and if they don’t they will be going home (or better yet, going to lobbying firms in DC) come 2018!

“I call B.S. on that. It wasn’t passed with 60 votes, so it sure as hell can be repealed with less than 60 votes.”

Roger on that! Didn’t they pass the bitch with reconciliation? Then do away with it the same way already! The filthy lizard McCain killed a shot at it but hopefully is almost a goner now.

“They don’t have 60 seats. They can’t repeal the whole thing. That’s just the facts.”

If democrats gain control of the senate you can bet your sweet ass they would pass...oh I don’t know...semi auto/magazine bans without 60. Repubs just don’t seem to want to do it. Yellow bastards.

Think theres a reason Ryan wants rynocare? Ever notice that when those insurance commercials used to run on tv that there were a couple of states that it couldnt be offered in? How many of these insurance companies are headquartered in WI? Did you know that the same couple of clowns are/were behind more than one?
