Bayonne Zoning Board votes down Muslim community center

During a special meeting Monday night, the Bayonne Zoning Board voted against an application to establish a Muslim community center at 109 E. 24th St., citing traffic and parking issues in the dead-end street. The 5-4 vote came at the end of a five-hour public meeting that saw dozens of people air their opinions and concerns on the matter.

The meeting, which began at 6 p.m., started with testimony from only one witness -- John McDonough, a licensed professional planner -- who told the board that the community center would not conflict with regular peak parking hours for the surrounding area.

My son lived next door to a Moslem community center, which also doubled as a mosque, for two years. This was just off campus at a large university. He said they were terrific neighbors. It could get a bit noisy during family events and holidays but otherwise they were quiet. Parking was never a problem. One day they even brought over a fruit basket for my son and his housemates to show appreciation for their tolerance.

Moslem community centers are akin to the German American Bund, or German American Federation, which were pre-WWII pro-Nazi organizations in the U.S. If we don't root out Islam and its followers, our republic will cease to exist as we know it.

Many of the mosque and community centers are near educational buildings.....public schools, universities, colleges.....When we have an event where they just go kill the children and bright scholars....I will not be surprised. We’ve allowed them to be too close and it’s us walking around with our eyes closed. As to the “peaceful” in Islam, what happens when they get a radical Iman who says killing is Allah’s mandate? Will they kill or be killed?

Their evil to their own children is horrid. Women are half men in their status. It goes on and on.
