But you know, she is a good enough artist at painting (in a motel room art or "Elvis on velvet" kind of way) that she could eke out a living. Put up a sun umbrella and a folding chair by roadside and make a little coin. She'd probably make enough money to rent a room, and buy some kraft mac and cheese. And she wouldn't be homeless.
Actually, she doesn't even need the umbrella. She could just work on her tan.
