Interesting, kind of. Spokesperson doesn't think Trump accepts Comey’s denial, but no quote from or by Trump. Add in what Conway said and it does seem like the strategy is to push Comey and others into a position, in writing or on camera, denying tap or not.

The Trump administration issued a public statement yesterday calling on Congress to investigate the matter. In this statement, they also said they would have no further comment on the issue while the investigation is (apparently) ongoing. This seemed a little odd to me at the time, because I couldn't imagine why someone like Trump would ever want to remain silent about a story that was just starting to get a lot of media attention.

Now it all makes sense to me ...

Donald Trump wants his last public statement on the matter to be a series of Twitter messages in which he openly accuses Barack Obama of conducting potentially illegal surveillance on him.

That right there, folks, is Donald Trump writing the script for Barack Obama's legacy ... in 140 characters or less. Trump just b!tch-slapped Obama as if he was nothing more than a failed contestant on "The Apprentice." LMAO.
