I am still wondering why on earth Comey is still in that job. It is obvious that he is a totally political animal whose actions are dictated by agenda instead of integrity or competency. I wouldn’t trust anything he said.
Comey might be a fink, but the unnamed FBI source (which could be a NYT reporter and not an FBI source) wants to create dis-info and more dissension in the Trump administration.
At this level, they have seceded. What this leads me to believe is that said reporter or FBI source has dirt on Comey so he’s not talking.
Most interesting is all the “Republicans” abandoning Trump.
Comey is only interested in protecting the DOJ/FBI facade that they are there to protect the American people. His denial is absolutely predictable, as is his silence when challenged.
Yeah. They've done that before. Notably, over the "grabbing" video. Trump was finished then, remember?
My guess (and I'm hardly the first to say it) is that if Trump had cleaned house the way I wanted him to, it would have been portrayed as a "purge" and a scandal. BUT if the wiretapping is proven (sand it will be) and if a lot of people (ex. Comey) are on the record siding with Obama rather than President Trump, I think a purge will occur. It will be monumental, and I think the media will have a difficult time saying it's unjustified.

That is how I see it. If Comey does not confirm this himself I will consider it fake news.
