WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, asked the Justice Department this weekend to publicly reject President Trump’s assertion that President Barack Obama ordered the tapping of Mr. Trump’s phones, senior American officials said on Sunday. Mr. Comey has argued that the highly charged claim is false and must be corrected, they said, but the department has not released any such statement.
Mr. Comey made the request on Saturday after Mr. Trump leveled his allegation on Twitter. Mr. Comey has been working to get the Justice Department to knock down Mr. Trump’s claim because there is no evidence to support it and it insinuates that the F.B.I. broke the law, the officials said.
A spokesman for the F.B.I. declined to comment. Sarah Isgur Flores, the spokeswoman for the Justice Department, also declined to comment.

Well, I believe Trump. No way he would make that statement without proof. Besides, there IS proof of two FISA warrant requests, right? I don’t think Comey said it. I think it’s the Times putting out fake news again.

Yes, he was— inasmuch as he was the beneficiary of not being prosecuted by Loretta Lynch for drug money laundering when he was head of security at HSBC. These people are tight as ticks. Comey was held on to keep him in this position, for just such a time as this. McCabe got the nuclear attack, and it toast, and playing these two against each other will be interesting. Sessions cleaning house.

I am just so damned sick of all this crap. Allegations being thrown around left and right by Trump and the left and the media. Build the case first then make the charge, not in reverse order. I want to get moving on the agenda not get bogged down in this mess.

First, remember in the Summer of 2016, the 0Bummer administration could not get the initial wiretap warrant ordered by the FISA court. Why? Too broad in scope. Then the Russian Hacking started to gain traction after the both conventions especially after Debbie Wasserman Schultz was relieved of her position with the DNC. Give the Russian Hacking time to fester in the public eye and gain momentum. When it looks like Trump is actually going to win, the 0Bummer admin then goes back to the FISA Court with the scope narrowed but this time the Russian Hacking meme has more traction in the public eye and seems to be more plausible with the WIKILEAKS. Tying the Russian Hacking as the source information later released by WIKI LEAKS is how they were able to get the second FISA wiretap warrant issued. Once the 0Bummer admin had that warrant it was easy to expand by circumstantial evidence using the banks from Russia as the means to expand the narrowed in scope second wiretap warrant. Once the wiretap warrant was expanded to the original warrant, they then could begin to monitor Trump’s Senior Administration. From my experience this is usually how things work. They start from the target and work their way back to find what they are looking for. If they stumble across something else, they add it and expand the warrant to include what they found.
The point is the Russian meme wasn’t to cover up their illegal activities it was used to promulgate them. Julian Assange was quoted in a Sean Hannity interview that the Russians were not the source of the emails that was given to his organization. And yet the Lamestream media still went with the narrative that it was. This meme was conducted by the 0Bama organization in order for them to get the second wiretap from the FISA court when initially, when the Russian Hacking meme was just beginning to hit the light of day, they failed. The second warrant was obtained through the contrived narrative used by the MSM and the Hitlary Supporters. 0bummer set it into motion and let the left and media run with it.
Again the Russian Hacking was the narrative 0Bummer used to get the wiretap and assure the nation Trump would never be elected.

What amazes me is that with all the headwinds Trump faced he still won. The entire globalist machine and all their apparatchiks were mobilized against Trump to no avail. That just tells me people are more pissed than it appears.
Back when Lynch was Attorney General, I remember reading that Comey worked under the direction of the Attorney General. I hope that applies to Republican administrations, too.
