No. If Trump faced impeachment, we would have or there would soon be the conditions that would cause Trump to declare emergency government thus overriding the constitution. War, economic collapse, serious on the street internal strife. Trump’s opposition would go to a CMU, go underground, or flee the country. Sessions recused himself from investigations into Trump campaign contacts with Russia.

zer0 switched the line of succession at DOJ to make sure one of his minions, buddy of Clapper and ardent prog would be Deputy AG. EARLY in the transition, this was noticed and quietly changed. I can’t recall the name of the current Deputy AG, but he was reinstated to his position by Trump. You can search for the name. I use StartPage...Google without the tracking.

At this point in time, slow walking confirmations/appointments is a losing cause that draws unwanted attention to the Congress. Trump can appoint someone at the first recess, which I believe is at Easter.
