“There may be other careless errors in need of correction, but Ill leave them be for the time being.”

Most of us wouldn’t even notice.

True. Internet posting approaches conversation in some respects, and formal correctness isn’t usually expected. I prefer not to give ammunition to persons who’d like to discredit the ideas by discrediting their expression, though, especially when the topics are serious. (Also I myself am very critical of my writing — and critical in general — so the temptation to post a series of self-corrections is great :-).
> I promise [or swear, if thought appropriate] not to interrupt the speech or in any way attempt to prevent it from being given. If I can no longer bear to listen to whats being said without protest, I will leave quietly.
An important revision of content: To avoid making it appear that persons who stay are all supporters of the views of the speaker — rather than just persons who tolerate the expression of diverse ideas — add to the pledge, “Remaining, though, will not be taken to mean approval of what’s being said.” If the pledge becomes too long to be said by each person who enters, it could be distributed ahead of time, and each person could say instead, “I’ve read the pledge, and hereby promise to abide by it.”
I recall during the later days of the Vietnam War protests when a group of NYC construction workers waded into a group of protesters and just beat the crap out of them. That, like Kent State, really took the enthusiasm out of all that protest fun.
Once upon a time there were respected liberal intellectual
leaders who would decry the stifling of free speech. They
must be afraid or dead.
No. What is needed is for the Dean of Students to expelled the rioters, and refer any non student agitators to the police.
Childish riots like these gets other people searching for Charles Murray online.

The Bell Curve: IQ, Race and Gender | Charles Murray and Stefan Molyneux
Published on Sep 14, 2015
In continuing our discussion on Human Intelligence and the predictive powers of IQ, Charles Murray joins the broadcast to discuss the latest science regarding ethnic and gender differences in intelligence.
Charles Murray is a political scientist, author, and libertarian. He first came to national attention in 1984 with the publication of “Losing Ground,” which has been credited as the intellectual foundation for the Welfare Reform Act of 1996. His 1994 New York Times bestseller, “The Bell Curve,” coauthored with the late Richard J. Herrnstein, sparked heated controversy for its analysis of the role of IQ in shaping America’s class structure.
Obama’s Red Guards.
Particularly relevant in light of the apparent Obama-Jarrett conspiracy to take over the government that is becoming unearthed.
When they started talking about “the Russians” during the latter part of Hil’s campaign, I thought it was weird, a non-event “cut out of whole cloth.”

Yep.
Those who disagree with Murray’s views should a.) debate him or b.) write a rebuttal in book form.
Doing either of these would require intelligence, however.
That these goons can do neither tends to validate his original thesis, no?
What we must remember is that the speech police have no clue what they are silencing. They know nothing of the subjects about which they are forbidding discussion.
The way to defeat them is to challenge them. Ask them questions. DEMAND that they participate in discussion and debate.
In case anyone stumbles across this thread because of Murray’s telling of his adventure at Middlebury on FoxNews I’ll share the link.
The one thing that stands out for me is this:
“Some were just having a snarky good time as college undergrads have been known to do, dancing in the aisle to the rhythm of the chants. But many looked like they had come straight out of casting for a film of brownshirt rallies. In some cases, I can only describe their eyes as crazed and their expressions as snarls. Melodramatic, I know. But thats what they looked like.”
I thought the obamarades would be inner-city rioters, but the Marxists have done a phenomenal job at infiltrating our institutions of “higher”/s education.
The reason I read the article is because I couldn’t believe it Middlebury, VT, and had to laugh because my x is still living in VT and he once called me a Christian Taliban. I was looking for him in the pictures! LOL They really are all for their own form of Sharia law.
