In the modern-day culture wars over Islam’s place in America, fashion has become a flashpoint. Should Muslim women in the U.S. publicly show their faith with garments, from hijabs to burkinis?
If the marketplace is any indication, that debate has been settled: Muslim fashion is here to stay.
Modest fashion -- the term for a wide range of clothing that caters to women who prefer looser garments or more coverage -- is now within the mainstream.
“In today’s world, Muslims have the largest population of millennials, and they’re demanding to be more and more stylish,” said Alia Khan, chairwoman of the Islamic Fashion and Design Council (IFDC). “No one’s gone unscathed with the selfie thing. That’s very much a part of the lifestyle today.”
Many designers are now catering to the needs of Muslim consumers and fashionistas. Western designers are recent arrivals to this market: In the past three years, Burberry, Mango and DKNY have each introduced a limited-edition “Ramadan collection,” and last year couturier Dolce & Gabbana released a line of hijabs and abayas.

It can only help. The moslem women in my neighborhood look like they get dressed in the dark.

Gee! That strikes me as the look Moochie Obola has been groping for these last 8 years. Pretty colors. The model is a pretty woman, maybe. But in that getup, I wouldn’t take her to a mudbog.
The nice thing about the burka is that no one can see the bruises and cuts from when one whips/beats their wife for doing things like not having my supper ready when he get home for work or what ever ‘tickles’ their husband’s ‘desires’.

New Years resolution ain’t working out so well.
Don’t people realize that their religion teaches them that women are the problem; therefore, they should keep hidden. They are not allowed to attend school, drive, vote, be seen in the company of another man who is not a family member, etc.
