Because that kind of thing is most definitely "need to know" and just because you're impressed with yourself enough to call yourself a "senior official" when leaking classified information to the media, doesn't mean you're actually trusted with the real deal...

To NBC, Compartmentalization of classified information NOW MEANS no information exists.
And they wonder why they are called #FakeNews.
Think of the US press as supporting the following:
The invasion of the USA by illegal aliens and mozlum refugee terrorists, communist politicians who want to steal our money, take our guns, restrict our religious freedom and criminalize our moral code.
Such a press is a mortal enemy and must be dealt with harshly, including imprisonment, intimidation, and state sanctioned violence.
They are cruising for a bruising.
The sooner these scumbags are dealt with the better.
Failure to deal with them will be catastrophic for normal Americans.
