CARSON CITY — A bill introduced Monday in the Nevada Senate would prohibit state and local law agencies from conducting immigration enforcement operations. Senate Bill 223, sponsored by state Sen. Yvanna Cancela and a host of other Democratic lawmakers, comes amid stepped up immigration enforcement under the administration of Republican President Donald Trump. The bill would prohibit police agencies, including school and campus police departments, from using money, facilities, property, equipment or personnel for immigration enforcement purposes.

I didn’t think states had cntrol over immigration policy. Problem with sanctuary states are that that state would have to make sure that their illegals stayed in that state and to not expect federal funds for illegals..

No Federal funds to Nevada. And I’m in Nevada. With all the illegals voting here, you’d think the Republican Governor would be calling for voter ID laws.????

This guy has no business calling himself a Republican Governor. The law is CRYSTAL CLEAR that anyone here without legal status is to be REMOVED. Saying he is waiting on “new laws” is an evasion and a cop-out. He SHOULD have been clear about his support for ICE and that he would veto this Dimocrap bill if the legislature passes it.
As it is, Nevada needs to lose all Federal funding while ICE uses its own people to round up all the illegals and deport them and the good people remaining in Nevada put a recall of this governor on the next election ballot.
