In the tiny Arizona city of Douglas, a Border Patrol surveillance camera is trained on a 10-foot-high fence with Mexico. After a few seconds, footage shows a figure appearing out of nowhere and the fence suddenly opens to allow a pickup truck through. A car follows, and they speed off into adjoining neighborhoods while the makeshift gate slams shut.
The Wild West still has a foothold here, more than 100 years after gunslingers Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday called Douglas home. Only the outlaws are cartels and traffickers.
And while President Trump is vowing to step up enforcement and seal off the southern border, agents in Border Patrol say they are still grappling with fallout from the Obama years which they contend allowed security problems like this to fester.
We werent allowed to do our job, Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, the border agents union, told Fox News.
Judd said the agency is now seeking a restart after years of neglect.

Our military are going to get bullets now, too??
Trump WILL fix this. 10,000 new border patrol officers already authorized. Sure that only one step he’s already taken.

Sounds like an outstanding job for no longer needed EPA personnel.
Get those folks some open top vehicles and put them out patrolling the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. Or maybe horses would be better.
We need qualified, dedicated people working the border, not govies whose idea of work is counting the number of years/months/days/hours 'til the next pay raise.
EPA is staffed by mega liberals. I wouldn’t trust them to watch the border. I might trust them to pick up all the litter in the deserts left behind by the invading illegals, but that’s about all.
It’s not as if they wouldn’t mostly quit if they had to patrol the unairconditioned desert on horseback, or that dereliction of duty captured on camera wouldn’t constitute a firing offense.
My goal is to first make them miserable and then make them unemployed with no severance. Possibly unemployed with a felony conviction.
What’s not to love?
EPA workers need to either be put in jail or at least be banned for life from all public employment.
Think outside the box a little.
Have them watching the boarder from the south side of the Trump Wall.

Love it!
Picking up litter is just as lacking in air conditioning, with lots of stooping over, tripping over rocks, falling into cactus, and doesn’t risk them toughing it out as heroic martyrs as they let sneak illegals in.
Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday called Douglas home.
Douglas, Really? All this time, I thought they were in Tombstone; I guess that house just down the road from where I live really wasn’t Wyatt’s house afterall...
Ostriches...
Not just post Obama but post GW Bush. Bush treated our agents horribly. Campean and Ramos should never have been arrested.
