Democratic leaders of the California Legislature are seeking clarification of federal immigration enforcement policy after round-ups of undocumented immigrants earlier this month sparked renewed fears of increased deportation raids under the Trump administration.

Illegal aliens are "immigrants" as much as squatters are "tenants" or "homeowners."
When Nevada tried to assist the feds in finding illegal aliens were they not sued and forced to stop because the courts said it was completly up to the fed how to enforce such laws?

I would not be surprised if ICE agents are threatened with being arrested by California Highway Patrol, California State University Police, University of California Police, etc. This going to get interesting.
I don’t recall California asking for any documentation of the immigration arrests made under the Obama administration.
