PHOENIX - The speaker of the Arizona House said Monday he won't hear a bill that makes participating in or helping organize a protest that turns into a riot an offense that could lead to criminal racketeering charges.
The measure passed last week by the Senate drew nationwide attention because it added rioting to the organized crime statutes and said an overt act isn't needed to prove conspiracy to riot. That attention led Speaker J.D. Mesnard to decide Monday to kill it for the session.

Sounds a bit much.
Time for a new Speaker.
We don’t need a new law, they are breaking existing laws.
throw the traitor out
Why? Dumb law shouldn’t be heard. Using the logic of this law Trump could have been prosecuted for what happened in Chicago. He organized the rally and a riot broke out.
It was an extension of RICO which extended the ability of the government to seize property prior to convictions. Asset forfeiture should be totally abandoned.
Asset freezing until resolution of criminal charges is the most that should have ever been allowed at any level. Forfeiture should have been thrown out by the courts long ago.
“Mesnard told The Associated Press that people all across the country now believe that the Arizona Legislature is trying to enact a law that will suppress their First Amendment right to assemble.”
Soros wins with his tactics when Republicans cannot find the balls to stand up for what’s right. At what point is this party going to get serious - seems that ONLY TRUMP understands just what Soros and his mob are up to.
I hate to say this, because the author of this bill is my friend and a good man, but this is a very misguided piece of legislation.
Totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL-beyond partisan issues.
