A longtime GOP operative is asking Congress to investigate whether or not Russia is behind the murder of a young Democratic National Committee staffer.
Seth Rich, 27, was fatally shot in the back while walking home alone in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of D.C. in the early hours of July 10 last year. At the time of his death, he was working as a data analyst for the DNC.
Eight months on, there are no leads and no suspects in the homicide investigation. DC police have said nothing was stolen from Rich and that the murder was a botched robbery.
Now, GOP lobbyist and DC lawyer Jack Burkman has formally appealed to Congress to investigate following new evidence he says he's obtained that Russia may be behind Rich's murder.
While Burkman is reluctant to elaborate, he revealed he was recently contacted about the investigation by a man claiming to be a former U.S. intelligence officer. The source is an older man, 65-70 years old, who claims to have been a contractor in Iraq in the 1970s, he revealed.
'The source has claimed that it [the murder] was arranged by the Russian government at a very high level,' Burkman said.
'He didn't specify who or how. He just said he had knowledge it was arranged by the Russian government and stressed that it was at a high level.'
He added: 'I've met this person and he seems very credible. We're now investigating the allegations he has made.'
Burkman believes the source will cooperate with the investigation. He is wary about revealing too much and has hired a private security firm to protect his family.

The Russians were evidently trying to kill two birds with one stone by pinning a murder on the Dimwits while at the same time silencing the ONLY person to discover their clandestine hacking operation.
They must have succeeded in covering their tracks, because not one iota evidence the Russians did it has ever been made public - and everyone KNOWS the Russians did it!
And if you'll buy all that, the Democrats have a mile of ocean front property in Las Vegas they'll throw in for free!

Seth Rich was in a no-go neighborhood at a no-go time according to the LEOs in the area.
There are more interesting things to pursue.

I thought that Rich’s execution possibly could have been everyday DC violence.
But over the years I’ve learned that whatever the RATS accuse the Repubs of doing, they are the ones doing it!
This cements in my brain the RATS offed Seth Rich.
This does not make any sense. We know the DNC hack was a phisher spoof that asked for passwords. There was no way for the Russians to figure out that he knew something. If it happened to his computer he would have wiped it and started over, changing log-ins and passwords. If he knew everyone had the problem he would have told the IT staff. There really is nothing to it.
We know the DNC was warned by the FBI and did nothing. We know that the FBI does not know who did the hacking. Only that the hacking was done using software Russians hackers often use. If the Russians killed him, its because there was something else he knew. It can’t be these emails.
Wikileaks upped the reward to 100K, I think. There’s a reason Bernie won’t play and turn over his donor and voter lists to the RATS demanding them, he knows this ain’t over.

The real story is that the Hillary campaign made a deal with the Russians for “assistance” in winning the election. One reason they were so over confident. Because they didn’t win, they felt stiffed. Of course they jumped to the conclusion that the Russians helped Trump instead. However they realized that wasn’t true, but they perpetuate the lie for political advantage.
