SK and China do get along fairly well................There are some bad spots, but generally ok...........

I’d almost believe that having China in there would be preferable. As long as their “legitimate territorial interests” didn’t include the rest of the peninsula.
The Chinese are fairly evil, but on a normal scale, not utterly psychotically insane.

Actually, I’ll bet the ROKs would love it. More trade, no crazies on the border, far less defense spending.
