President Donald Trump will call for a substantial increase in military spending and look to safeguard Social Security and Medicare from any cuts in his first major step toward compiling a budget proposal for the coming fiscal year, a senior administration official told CNN on Sunday.

The White House on Monday will issue the outlines of a budget proposal to federal agencies, a document that has largely been drafted by Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, the official said. The budget outline will also call for spending cuts to several federal agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency. The announcement will come a day before Trump's joint congressional address on Tuesday, where he is expected to lay out his agenda and legislative priorities.

Who knows with CNN. They have zero credibility and have zero trust.

From an AP article on this topic...

...according to the aides. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss nonpublic information and a sensitive process.

CNN, the same liberal idiots that claimed an increase in school lunch funding of 6% was a cut because they wanted 9.5%.

Defund the Left!

Prepare for the wailing, as leftist sacred cows are offered up as sacrifices. Hope they cut a trillion.

But quite possibly, the Left will still fail to grasp that this is real. Trump will say what he has been saying all along, and the Left will be unable to imagine that anyone could really disagree with their revealed knowledge.

Only this time, the formal budget will be taking shape - and at some point, the ax will fall.

Lemme know when he runs a squadron of F-18’s through downtown Mexico City to let them know the jig’s up, their invasion plan is over with.

Until then, the money pissed down the Middle Eastern rathole to appease Lockheed and the Saudi’s is just that.

What about our beloved npr?

Give them till the end of the year to complete or cancel existing contracts, lay off employees, and vacate the premises. The General Services Administration can dispose of the property, including the rights to Sesame Street.

Next fiscal year they would just be income to the Government, and a bad memory.

Large corporations can deduct 50% of lobbying expenses from taxable income. In government talk, this is a tax expenditure. End the deduction, end lobbying.
