Turkey continues to shell cities in Northern Syria.

And their terrorists allies are helping.

This in itself is not a new thing, but it seems to be increasing.

As we approach the assault on Raqqa (and Der Ezzor) this will have to be watched. Turkey should not be allowed to stand in the way of eliminating ISIS.

(I'm sorry for roughness of machine translation, but I thought the content was worth conveying)

NOTE: It is reported that CBS is on ground at air base in Northern Syria, reporting on the war. If so, we may see more in US press about it. I hope it is accurate. We have our own issues with that.

I believe "West" refers to the topographical areas of Northern Syria and Kurdistan, rather than Western Nations.

Turkey is playing both sides here using Western NATO connections to protect any group that will attack the Kurds, and some opportunistic attacks on Syrian loyalists and Assad's Government forces (Syrian Army).

It appears to be working now, as Erdogan is careful not to cross the Russians and the US is letting them get away with it.

Turkey betrayed us when we invaded Iraq; one of our best divisions therefore couldn’t be used to attack Iraq from the north.

So we were stuck with only attacking the “funnel” from the south.

Fifty years of NATO support, and that’s our reward.

Right...

Totally agree.

Islamist beliefs are totally incompatible with the West.

Erdogan is an Islamist, soon to be Dictator (it appears).

But he is still facing problems. Terrible economic problems, growing repression creates growing rage. It is called blow-back. It is coming to Erdogan.
