If you want to take the temperature of the conservative movement at CPAC, you need to know where to stick the thermometer. It’s not in the onstage speeches, or the myriad policy panels, or the boozy after-parties—it’s inside Exhibit Hall D on the ground floor of the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.

Exactly. Those are establishment “conservatives”. The conservative movement is shattered in a million pieces. Trump is doing more to forward the conservative agenda than anyone else in DC. He actually listened to the grassroots and is pushing their issues forward unlike the spineless jellyfish that were elected by conservatives to Congress.

Daniel Tellez, a senior at Boise State, noted with a hint of dismay that the rising Trumpist faction of the party seems to have pushed his fellow libertarians back to the fringes of the movement. He doesn’t plan on altering his own politics—but neither does he expect the dynamics to change anytime soon. “As far as jobs go, I’d say that young nationalists now feel like the Republican Party provides an ideological home.”

Last paragraph.

An obviously slanted article. For many it is just a career day. But never forget there is a process going on. Free discussion does educate...................

I have a problem with turning conservativism and fixing our great country into a career choice.

No they aren’t and FYI they don’t approve of some of his policies but support him as president (as do I). That doesn’t make them or myself anti anything other than to hold him in line

Paul Ryan 2020 is doing everything he can to move the agenda forward.

CPAC has been run by Grover Norquist and Al Cardenas as the Constantly Pushing Amnesty Conference for years.

The Cheap Labor Express wants everyone to believe that abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country to illegal aliens and their employers is conservative.

"The Atlantic" McKay Coppins ...

People who write for the Atlantic - to a person - hate Donald Trump. Anything they write will draw the reader to the conclusion democrat liars want them to be at. The MSM is the enemy of traditional Americans.

I went to a CPAC years ago. I was already in Washington for other reasons (my then-girlfriend was giving a presentation at a Vietnam symposium), signed up for CPAC as well since it was a day or two later. Met pat Buchanan and Star Parker at CPAC. Well worth the trip then. I listened to a few of this year's CPAC speeches on TV, but don't know how the overall event went.
