President Trump appeared to be pleased with the Democratic National Committee chair results on Saturday, tweeting a sarcastic congratulations to the victor, Tom Perez, and the Republican Party.
Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 25, 2017
In response, Perez, the former Obama labor secretary, told Trump to wipe the grin off his face. He, his deputy chair Keith Ellison, and all Democrats are now a united front, he argued.
Call me Tom. And don't get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare. https://t.co/fu7WvLofrD— Tom Perez (@TomPerez) February 25, 2017
Perez can talk a big game, but even his own party is dissatisfied with the new leadership. The former labor secretary, they argue, represents the establishment wing of the party. Ellison would have been the only true "grassroots" leader. What's more, the DNC voted to continue allowing corporate cash to flow in, proving they're not so "progressive" after all.
@kattracy Right? Let's all buy into the platitudes. Surely, they won't go back to being subservient to lobbyist and corporate donors. ????????— Rain Duran (@RainDuran) February 26, 2017
The Republican National Committee recognized the lost opportunity that may result in more tough elections for Democrats.
"By selecting a D.C. insider, Democrats only create deeper divisions within their own party by pushing a far left agenda that rejects a majority of their base outside Washington," RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said on Saturday.
LOL! Thanks for the heads up dumbass. You are now on the radar screen.

OK, next time Schumer talks about cooperation, point direct to this
Perez you got it wrong. Trump is going to be your worst nightmare! You are going to get treated as the domestic enemy that you are. You are going to regret the day you decided to get involved in politics. You are being watched very closely and carefully.
President Trump/”we” need to start referring to Democrats “united” as a conspiracy in the RICO sense. Let ‘em chew on that one.
Perez does not have a positive message or positive image.
He comes across as a negative person with an axe to grind.
Not sure that his salesmanship will resonate with large masses of people.
Wikileaks already posted a lot of dirt on Perez:
Hillary seems to own him.
Trump has by now come to realize that unlike the business world where top leaders have to set aside petty spite in the clear headed interest of serving their customers, clients and work force - political tyrants never built anything and owe nothing to anyone except the special interests who keep their donor money flowing
The “ Art of the Deal” with radical antagonists who have nothing to lose ? And are willing to burn down the country just to demonstrate their power ...
Just keep asking Americans “ What if these people had won?”
You would hope that the head of one of the two dominant political parties would set out to work with others (of either party) to make America a better place. The Democrats really don’t get it. Obstruction is not a plan to make America better.
Funny! I don’t picture Donald Trump as the kind of man who “has nightmares”. I don’t think he even sleeps long enough to have dreams.
Call me Tom...President Trump should always refer to him as Tommy
What a putz.
The game is officially on - can’t wait for the gauntlets to start smacking the Dems upside the head.
I can’t either.
Let’s not waste a moment digging deep into Perez’s background, associations, finances, women (or men), speeches and family. Destroy him. Crush him. Gut his ability to function.
Excellent point.
President Trump is not only Perez’s worst nightmare, he is the nightmare of every demonrat
I think the importance of the party chair is overblown. Yes, Ellison would have created a lot of controversy.
But, what did Debbie Wasserman Schultz accomplish?
Or for that matter, most GOP chairmen?
Nothing new.
