Establishes task forces to seek out, eliminate nearly $1 trillion in Obama red tape
After he already warned federal regulators to be prepared to eliminate two regulations for every new one they propose, President Trump on Friday launched a full-scale hunt to identify and remove unneeded federal rules and requirements that hinder business.
Estimating that the 3,000 new regulations imposed on American business by the Obama administration have cost of $873 billion, Trump on Friday signed an executive order that calls on all executive agencies to form a task force to examine their regulations.
He was flanked by about a dozen CEOs of major corporations as he signed the order in the White House.
Leaders of 3M, Lockheed-Martin, Dow Chemical, Archer Daniels Midland and International Paper were among those on hand.

This WINNING is getting tiresome - NOT!!
I want..
Mo winning!
Mo winning!
Mo winning!
Hunting?? Should be like shooting fish in a barrel.
Good, And after you find and kill them, why don’t you kill all the other unconstitutional regulations and nuke the unconstitutional Regulatory State as well. That would be a happy day.

This is what Bannon is referring to yesterday. That which he and Trump wants to deconstruct, the Administrative State.
And that which the the Opposition Party (msm, GOPe, demoncrats, etc.) hold very dear and desire to expand forever - unconstitutional power in the form of non-debated regulations through alphabet soup agencies.
yep, can someone please put an end to this winning already? **s**
START WITH THE IRS!!!
This is an old problem, not anything new.
I remember President Reagan’s “Grace Commission” from 1982.
In 1984, Congress ignored their report.
This is a target-rich environment.
Ronald Reagan had a democratic controlled congress.
Trump has a republican controlled congress.
Yeah, I’m sure all those Obama loving bureaucrats will jump right on that....................
There is just one little problem. The edict is much too broadly worded, to “seek out job-killing regulations”. The agencies are NEVER going to make a concerted effort to seek out such regulations, as they think of every one of their regulations as “protecting” some sacred and frozen-in-place constituency and are therefore beyond reproach or even review.
Worse, many of the existing regulations have somewhere within the same code, an entirely contradictory regulation that has never been suspended, so the one who can quote the supporting regulation for one interpretation or the other gets to be the spokesman for the enforcement or non-enforcement of a specific directive.
Why not ask the public, as well. We are the ones that are closer to this issue.
The regulations spittled out by the ATF would be a nice spot to hunt and erase ...
don’t forget to go after OSHA
Trump has a "republican" controlled congress... they still need their feet held to the fire. This is NOT the time for us to relax.
Celebrate, relish, and feel hopeful, sure.... but no relaxing yet.
