President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order taking aim at government regulations.
The president says the order will direct each federal agency to establish a regulatory reform task force. The task forces will then recommend which regulations they can simplify or eliminate.

Has he fired all the Czars?
This is huge! Regulation strangles innovation and it needs to get under control
I work in the most heavily regulated specialty of medicine, Pathology. It is clear that many of the regulations we labor under do nothing to improve patient care while only adding cost and compliance burden. News like this is really heartening to many of us in the field.
BTW those who are most effective at finding duplicative our outmoded regulations get to keep their jobs
Nice!
While I applaud the order I wonder if the individual agencies are the ones to decide which of their regulations are obsolete. Someone from outside the agency should be part of the process.
More winning.
I note that every time he does something good, there are a bunch of folks who jump on the tread to ask why he hasn’t done X yet.
Yeah, but did he do this?????
Good freakin grief.
NEVER HAPPY
This stinks, IMHO. Fox and hen house.
The President places too much faith in the people (who are STILL LEFTOVERS, I might add) in these agencies.
These people in the agencies have no incentive to do a good job at cleaning their own house.
Will the BATF&E genuinely search for and target unnecessary regulations? Hell - their whole damn agency is unnecessary! And they're just ONE (obvious) example!
President Trump lied to me, he said I would be tired of all the winning.

Very good read.
And this is why Steve Bannon said he was going to deconstruct the Administrative State.
I work in Financial Services which is also very heavily regulated. I've often wondered if anyone was as heavily regulated as we are, I think your industry is probably much worse.
Does he even have any?
Funny, how the party of Russian-hacking-the-election accusations is the one with all the Czars.
Yeah, they need to contemplate "President Hillary" for an attitude adjustment.
“I note that every time he does something good, there are a bunch of folks who jump on the tread to ask why he hasnt done X yet.”
Yes, and that is one of the ways that Opposition Party is trying to attack him. Saying he hasn’t kept his campaign promises.
Good grief. He has been president for only one month!!
But even then, there has been a lot of winning that was going on even before he was president - during the time period of election and the inauguration.
In some ways cutting regulations is better than tax cuts. It’s a good strategy to do the easy stuff first. Trump’s a great general in the war against the crooks.
All this should have been done during GWB’s terms, but he turned out to be one of the bad guys.
I don’t think I have ever been as disappointed in my life as I was with Bush.
Repeal NFA, abolish the ATF. The ATF is a big beer business supporter and crushes small brewries.
Way to go Trump.
Agreed...
