Obamacare is complicated. Price probably is in the best position to understand and explain how it is being repealed and replaced. What I don’t like are some conservative commentators who are upset that it hasn’t happened already, or who are starting to get nervous that the GOP will bail on repealing and replacing it. Give Price some time. Let’s see what they come up with. They will do something this year. But its not going to be quick or easy.
Trump has already taken the step that effectively ends Obamacare. He has instructed IRS to accept tax returns even if they don’t include the mandate disclosure.
Without that threat of a substantial penalty, young people are not going to be paying these ridiculous prices for insurance they don’t want or need. Without them subsidizing the rest of the market, the system, as currently configured, will collapse in no time flat.
