McCain backed down to the North Vietname in Hanoi. They called him “Songbird”. He made several propaganda videos which are locked up in the Pentagon archives and should be released under FOI!!. He had a private ROOM!! with a bath and was allowed to be released ahead of the others that were patriots!! .He faded back into the heros so he would not be exposed. This man is horrible. He just violated the Logan act again..

I never thought in my life I’d be praying for a President to do his work.

Let’s not forget “W”, who never fought back against anything the media gave him. But as Rush put it, “he honored the office of presidency”. Yea, sure he did.

Wait a minute! That's your blog! Why not post it in full here?
Facing a sea of antagonistic, left wing Washington reporters, President Donald Trump should have opened his mesmerizing White House press conference last week this way:

"Most of you covered me (pause) ... None of you voted for me."

That would have been a play on the words President Barack Obama used at his first appearance before the White House Correspondents Dinner in May 2009, shortly after he was first elected.

Back then Obama said, "Most of you covered me (pause) ... All of you voted for me."

The friendly audience of reporters and their guests cheered wildly, overlooking the sly and half-hidden disdain Obama had for them and their obsequious ways

The liberal media establishment loved Obama, and did everything it could to get him elected in 2008. This included abandoning all pretense of objectivity as it turned on one-time idol John McCain, Obama's opponent, and savaged then Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain's running mate.

Four years later the media, practically an arm of the Democrat Party, essentially mocked Mitt Romney out of the presidential race.

Unlike Romney, or even McCain, Trump is not a gentleman but a tough New York brawler who relishes a good fight. He will not turn the other cheek, like the hapless Romney or the hopeless McCain.

What the media did to McCain, Palin and Romney, Trump did to the media, only he did it first. He attacked the "dishonest" press before it could attack him, as it surely would have, and as it surely did.

And he did it -- and is still doing it -- to roaring campaign crowds that agree with him, and that catapulted him into the White House.

Had Trump uttered that play on words at his press conference the press would have also cheered, the way they cheered Obama, but for different reasons. And that's because none of them did vote for him, and they do not like him. He is not one of them, but is an outsider who holds the media in open contempt.

The feeling is mutual. But unlike other politicians, Trump doesn't care what the media thinks. He won without the media, or in spite of them. He does not play up to the press, the way Obama did.

Trump knows how the media work as well as any television network president or New York Times senior editor. He knows that there is a double standard at play, one for Democrats and another for Republicans.

He saw how the media went into the tank for Obama, and overlooked or helped obfuscate numerous scandals during his administration, especially the cover up of the disaster at Benghazi.

Here is one example of media bias during Obama's last campaign. The press made a big deal of a vacationing young Mitt Romney one time putting his dog in a cage on the roof of his car because there was no room inside, given all of his kids.

Romney was endlessly mocked and ridiculed by the liberal establishment media for that.

At the same time, it was revealed that Obama used to eat dogs when he was growing up in Indonesia, but the press never asked Obama about it, or even inquired who hunted and killed the dogs he ate. It was a non-story. Obama got a pass.

And that is but one example of the difference between how the media rolled over and played dead for Obama, whom they considered one of them, and how it treated Romney, or how it now treats Trump.

Just imagine for a moment what the media outcry would be if it was revealed that Trump hunted, killed and ate dogs in his youth.

It is no wonder why Trump has such contempt for the press. He knows the Washington, New York, Los Angeles establishment media is essentially dishonest when it comes to politics and political journalism.

And he knows that they hate him because he made all the members of the political establishment -- the press, the publishers, the pollsters and the pundits, none of whom gave him a chance -- look stupid.

Now it is payback time. But there is no sign that Trump is intimidated. On the contrary, he has doubled down on his criticism of the media and its dissemination of "fake news" and in its hatred of him.

Jim Acosta, an aggressive CNN reporter, asked at one point during that press conference if Trump, with his attacks on "fake news" was "undermining the people's faith in the First Amendment, freedom of the press."

What Trump should have said was, "No, Jim, you guys are doing that well enough on your own."

Romney could have won in 2012 if he'd nailed Candy and Bammy at the second debate.

One BIG reason Trump won and McLame and Mittens are losers - he doesn't back down to anyone!

Somehow people wanted Trump, and not the polished professional politician.

Maybe it really is what you know, and not who you know?

Precisely! Even in the debates where Madam Benghazi had the questions and her canned responses, people preferred the honesty of Trump.
