I assume that it has previously been discussed directly. That’s what surprises me about his public criticism of the FBI. He could fire Comey in a heartbeat if he wanted to do that. Can he put more pressure on him by criticizing his agency in a public tweet than he could by calling him into the Oval Office and reaming him out? I would think a face-to-face meeting would have more impact. And if he has had that meeting (as I assume he has), then why tweet about the problem?
