Chicago schools will not “assist in the enforcement of federal civil immigration law”.

Well that’s very nice.

But what difference will it make?

If the illegal immigrant student’s parents are deported will the children stay?

Is suppose they might stay with local relatives but at least the parents are gone.

Of course the CPS is not really concerned about the poor illegal student they just want the Federal money to keep on coming.

Public schools get Federal money on a per-student basis. The more students the more money. So they don’t care where the student comes from as long as they are enrolled and in the seat.

They also are paid per head per day by the state. They get more money if the kid doesn’t speak English so the illegal and legal immigrants are worth more than citizens.
