FRANKFORT For the third consecutive day, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was greeted by angry protesters before speaking at an event in downtown Covington.
McConnell was in northern Kentucky to address members of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce as well as the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
The concerns of the protesters ranged from repeal of the Affordable Care Act, President Trumps involvement with Russia, the loosening of EPA regulations and the feeling that McConnell was not listening to them.
...
McConnell said after his speech is that he has listened and understands the protesters concerns. He just disagrees with them.
They have a fundamentally different view of what America ought to be, McConnell said. We just had an election in November and the American people decided not to take their advice and go into a different direction.
... Two of the protesters got tickets to the event and interrupted McConnell twice during his address to the friendly crowd inside.
McConnell seemed unfazed by the outbursts jokingly saying, Obviously youre having multiple speakers today.
McConnell believes that the protests in Kentucky the last three days, as well as around the country have been orchestrated by the Democratic Party to get attention.
The Kentucky Democratic Party is actively promoting this, McConnell said. It doesnt mean that its not legitimate. Im not suggesting that these are not legitimate complaints, but theyre coming from active, involved Democrats.

Get your act together Mitch and quickly.
In order to pass any legislation in the US Senate the 60 vot rule will have to go, period! The DUmmies are the party of “no and never”
My guess is the nea is behind a lot of this sending teachers out to protest. Ever since Devos.. they have become unhinged. Definitely orchestrated. I saw one proudly declare “ I am not a paid protester.”Could not say “ I am not part of a lunatic orchestrated movement.”

Hmmmm- sounds an awful lot like soros funded protester ‘objections’ than it does dixie conservatives concerns
Geeze, show me on the doll where the election hurt you...
Wake up, turtle... (or do you like all the other creature in the swamp?)

That’s funny. Perfect!
Mitch is the weakest link. Ryan is a total RINO but he has many rock ribbed conservatives in his caucus that keep him from going full leftard. But McConnell, that’s a different story. His coalition is full of linguine spined RINOs and he’s one of the limpest members in the bunch. And he has a razor thin majority so all he needs to do to gum up the works is slow roll things and nothing gets done. He has means and motive, if Trumps agenda is killed it’s going to be Mitch who dunnit.
Have town hall meetings previously been this popular with Republicans before? Makes me think that they are trying to make the case that Obamacare is popular with the voters, after all. So no need to repeal it.
These RINO’s had better not get weak-kneed...these are FAKE PROTESTERS and these politicians WILL LOSE if they start paying attention to them!
Put out a statement: “In keeping with and promoting the technology of the day, we have decided to try something new and more cost effective: GOP town meetings will now be done via Skype”.
Stop giving the Media more ammo.
This wasn’t a town hall. He was asked to speak a local chamber luncheon and people interrupted his speech.
But other than that they have indeed been held regularly - just never reported on like this until Dems decided to use them for a psy-ops campaign and the media is part of the effort.

He didn’t take them seriously - his dry sarcastic put downs are actually somewhat humorous.
