Imagine a life with no tacos and no burritos. One of the things I hate about living in the southwest is that everyone expects you to choke down “Mexican food” 24/7/365.
It would be really refreshing here in Arizona to see the spanish language commercials and billboards go away.

My first cab ride out of the airport in Denver, I asked my (Mexican) driver what would a good restaurant be for Colorado food. He started listing nothing but one Mexican restaurant after another. No assimilation whatsoever.
I recall when I was in college in the mountains of WNC there was only one Mexican Restaurant which was run by an American family within 60 miles to the east, 100 miles to the west, and 50 miles to the north and south.
Today they are like garden weeds.
