The USA is not a democracy. It is a Constitutional Republic. Democracy is mob / majority rule. If we were a democracy, Hillary Clinton would be POTUS.

Long live the Republic.

Yes, you’re right, we are not a democracy. I often fall prey to the conflation of self-government with democracy.
