Lincoln Chafee is deeply unimpressed with the press.
The former Rhode Island governor and U.S. senator said Tuesday that his experience running in the Democratic primary last year reinforced his belief that reporters are bad at their jobs

Chafee is not just unimpressed with how reporters covered the 2016 primaries and general election. He is also annoyed with how they're covering the current administration.
"It's just a full onslaught against [Trump], and I think it's just kind of tiresome," he said in reference to the press' ongoing negative coverage of the Trump administration.
"He won. I didn't vote for him, but he won. Let's let him get his feet under him, and try to build a new administration and move on," the former governor added.

But then I ask, “Why?”
Is Chaffee realizing that - by accepting the results, and beginning to act like an adult in the room - HE can begin “leading the party” and get into the driver’s seat for the 2020 run?
No one else in the media-democrat-socialist party is acting like an adult - even Schumer is denying reality.
Somebody has clued him in on the fact that 24/7 attacks against President Trump is not harming Trump as much as it is the Democrats.
As far as if the press is garbage? Yes.
But Chafee’s problem was Chafee. The issues he wanted to talk about were not only not of interest to the press covering him, they were not what most people were concerned with either. His campaign was, so to speak “singing off key”, and neither voters nor the press were listening.

Hey! Let’s face it. The “media” really, really and “very” sucks. All liberalism all the time.
Perhaps he’s already running for president in 2020.
Other than that, I have no strong feelings about him one way or the other.
And all that being as you said he STILL sounds more reasonable than the Democratic leadership. Strange times for that party indeed
The Rat primary was rigged and the press was a part of it. They are as crooked and corrupt as any politician.
This Rhode Islander was my favorite candidate for the Dem nomination. However the die was cast by the Dem establishment that Hillary was the anointed one. The GOP had theirs too. Any of you remember a guy named Jeb?
