Mr. Copeland lived in a very nice house at the intersection of Transcontinental Blvd and Folse Dr with the Lake Ponchtrain levee in his back yard. Every Christmas he had a huge dislay of lights, etc placed in the front yard that drew lots of traffic to the neighborhood from all over Orleans Parish. Created one hell of a traffic jam in the neighborhood.

My best friend from high school lived across the street and got invited to the annual Copeland Christmas party along with the other neighbors. Copeland liked cars and there were always some very nice models to take a look at.

The Great Flood of August, 2016 inundated the Popeye’s in Denham Springs< La and it still has not reopened. Miss the store very much and at this it looks like the store will not reopen at all.
