I don’t think the “black bloc” is actually black people, more like the Seattle WTO anarchists (primarily white & pampered). The link locks up with ads, etc., but it described a group scorned by the right and left, and I can’t believe the left would openly scorn anything that involves black people (even though leftists scorn blacks privately).
Love the pic, though; clarifies that these aren’t “Americans”...

Most folks let snakes be if they aren't causing actual danger.

I see; my confusion stems from not knowing whether the article is referring to black people or the white “anarchists” in black clothing that Dems are blaming for the destruction at their protests.

Why would this idiot from the LA Times try to make it out like Los Angeles had anything to do with the Black Block’s creation! This idiot is clearly lying. They first came into play at the WTO protests in Seattle and they are mainly from Eugene Oregon. I was there, I know. I wasn’t part of it, but I was linked to it against my will in certain ways. This author is a liar.
I’ve seen that posted before, but never worried about it because in the end, there is no money for this program and no leftists willing to actually do the work. How many leftists would volunteer to patrol urban areas? They won’t even pass through them in daylight...
The Nation of Islam had a program like this in some housing projects, but in the end were accused of only trying to control the drug trade there.
