Here in California’s Bay Area, the Acacia trees are in full blossom after a month of constant watering. The trees and seedlings are heavy with thousands of tiny bright yellow flowers. There are several ornamental Plum trees stuck in the ground near buildings. Their buds open up to release a clumsy flurry of pink, white and magenta petals onto the sidewalks.
Nice to look at along the freeway as I sit like a rock in slow rainy-day traffic, but bad for those who have allergies. Lucky for me, I don’t have that problem.
Down here in SoCal too. I have to give mom a Zyrtec every day unless it’s pouring rain. I don’t have pollen allergies and I’m glad; it seems like quite a curse.
