Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly has issued new orders to agency heads that considerably expand the number of immigrants who can be detained and deported under new executive orders President Donald Trump signed last month.

Under Kelly’s orders, which were contained in two memorandums distributed to agency heads on Friday, hundreds of thousands more immigrants in the United States illegally will be subject to what’s known as expedited removal proceedings to quickly get them out of the country.

Those children would no longer be protected against deportation, and their parents would be subject to criminal prosecution if they had paid human traffickers to bring their children across the border – a common scenario now.

This is going to really put a dent in Clintoonie’s 2.6 million “popular vote” second place win.

We need WORK CAMPS where they can work off the cost of their apprehension and deportation.

They’re always carrying on about being amazing workers, right?

Fine, let them prove it.

I really see no downside to this at all. My sympathy meter pegged out at least 8 years ago.

It is a child abuse to bring children across international boundaries illegally.
Prosecute and remove.

End DACA now.
It is an illegal program dreamed up by Obama and should be shut down.

Yep. They say hundreds of thousands may be affected. When they start talking millions I’ll be impressed.
People are screaming about deporting criminals. I say give them something to scream about and go after every single one.

What part of ILLEGAL is so difficult to understand? No one has the right to sneak into a country and squat, no matter how long they do it. If they are here for decades, why haven’t they made an attempt to make their residence here legal? Is it laziness or stubbornness? In any case, they have no right to break our laws.

Human trafficking is a terrible thing. How many children get ‘lost’ or are traumatized along the way? How many of those who have been trafficked by relatives actually end up with real relatives? How many are then stuck working that sum off in fear, because the relative demands repayment and holds the person’s illegal status over their head? And what is the mindset of a parent, what value do they put on life, that they would rather spend $30K entrusting a child to an unaccountable profiteer, instead of spending that amount on getting legal in the first flipping place? Putting pressure on these ‘relatives’ will smoke out those profiteers and put a big red x on their backs and that’s a good thing. We can’t tolerate human trafficking right outside our window. No how, no way.

Anchor babies shouldn’t have US citizenship. They were birthed here through criminal actions.

Sorry if I offended you but I wasn’t speaking for any other FReepers. Don’t take it out on them. I just have this thing about laws and have been a law abiding American all of my life. If we aren’t going to enforce our laws, we need to send Congress home and just call the whole thing off.

We do not hate children. You like children being placed into the control of child traffickers? You would trust a “coyote” with a child? What about our children? They will have to compete with these foreign national children for resources such as education and social services. Your concept of being “christian” is somewhat warped.

Yep, so true. We love this country MUCH MORE than we love alien children, or any other Illegals.

Talking about children. I asked my Salvadorean neighbor why did she come over to the US. She told me because her daughter was here in the US already with her grandmother, and that she came to the US thru a TOURIST VISA and got her residency thru her daughter.

I’m thinking these visas need to be revamp.

Illegal aliens would have had to return to their own country and apply like everyone else to get legal.

They have been able to stay because both parties have refused to enforce the laws and have been trying to force an amnesty for illegal aliens on the citizens.
