A new Center for Immigration Studies report suggests that President Donald Trump's wall along the U.S.-Mexico border could save Americans nearly $64 billion over the next 10 years if it stops half of all expected undocumented immigrants.

Steven Camarota, the study's author, joined Cheryl Casone on "After the Bell" Friday to discuss his calculations.

Ah, logic. Nice when that enters the argument. You don’t really need a calculator when you think about the money illegals suck up in benefits. Then there are the costs of personal injuries and property damage from unlicensed and intoxicated drivers.

Throw in the costs associated with educating their children. And the Latino/Catholic culture favors large families.

States, cities and counties all have their own special taxpayer funded perks for illegals.

There is the cost of law enforcement, the court and prison systems for the ‘bad hombres’ who decide to relocate here.

How about all of the unpaid ER bills—taxpayers eat those.

This is all just thinking out loud. I’m sure there is plenty more. As the former resident of a sanctuary city, I have an idea what illegals cost us.

The Wall would be a bargain at double the price. Count on our President to bring it in ahead of schedule and under budget.

Crime alone would be that much. And then there is welfare. And 5 million in schools at average of 10k per student is 50 billion per year.

Half?

We want our wall (and related border patrol activity and law enforcement) to stop a whole lot more than half of illegal intrusion.

Air tight might be a more worthy goal.

It would save more than that. Illegals and those on public assistance reproduce like rabbits......the more kids, the more money they receive.
I am tired of footing this illegality.
They are just used as a voting base for the shadow government.
Welfare REFORM and overhaul of the entire system is in order.
Comgress will cut medicare, social security and aid to our mentally ill citizens, but they do nothing about the welfare system which is like throwing the taxpayer’s money down a sh$thole that keeps getting deeper.

Yup. The freaking so called “journalists” can’t get anything remotely accurate. They shift decimal points with flair and don’t give a crap about being honest.
