The much-ballyhooed “Day Without Immigrants” turned out to be a day without many protestors or any political impact, but with many Mexican flags, angry slogans, and a muted social-media response by amnesty advocates.

I would like to point out in the article there is an embedded ABC video titled "Native American group performs in front of Minnesota capitol as part of 'Day Without Immigrants' protest in St. Paul". When sees that one if thinking of an tribe in the US. The dancers are a bunch of Mexicans pretending to be Aztecs. I bet those guys have as much Aztec blood as Sen Warren has Cherokee.

Political theater is not what it used to be.

Let’s face it. Since the 1960s the left has done everything they can to create chaos and many are getting immune to their tactics.

A day without illegal, if such a day would arrive, many American would declare it a National Holiday in celebration.

They like to claim they are doing jobs Americans won’t do. That is a lie. There are many areas across this nation that have not been flooded by illegals, yet, these same jobs get done. Done by American citizens.

Perhaps the best reason to deport illegals is because their loyalty remains with their country of origin. In any future conflict between the US and their country, whose side will they be on? For many it will be against the US.

I have a teacher acquaintance who noted that 9 students missed school to attend a pointless rally. She also conceded that most of the 9 had illegals as parents and at least one family member involved in drug activity.

I’m glad they failed, and showed that the US can do just fine with invaders. Success for us would’ve been if the invaders who cut work that day had been replaced by US citizens who need jobs (a gal can dream)

While the “Day Without Illegal Aliens” was a bust (except for rich lefties who might have had to do without their household slaves for a day), it could have provided a valuable service. It could have rooted out businesses that are hiring illegal aliens, which they do to avoid taxes and having to pay higher wages.

Any business that was affected by the “Day Without Illegal Aliens” should be audited for its hiring practices. It should then be fined for every illegal alien found on its payroll. I wonder if these businesses run separate payrolls for those hired illegally?

There are several new homes being built near one of my project houses. I stopped by to look. There were probably 25 workers. Nobody was speaking English and they all looked like Mexicans. I rarely see Mexicans in this small town and there are lots of unemployed construction workers.

The organizers claimed they represent roughly 31 million immigrants and roughly 11 million illegal aliens. If the organizers turned out 30,000 protestors, that represented 0.27 percent of the illegal population, and 0.097 percent of the immigrant population, most of which was at work in in school during the scattered protests. Even though employers shut their workplaces, many of the missing illegals were likely hard at work in their low-wage second or third jobs.

If they had really wanted to show the impact that illegals have, they would have stopped committing crimes, driving drunk, sending their kids to school, stop clogging up the Emergency Rooms at hospitals and clinics, stop going to all social services, and stopped just hanging out all over. That would have shown just how many “teachers” would have been out of a job, how many cops and security guards would be out of work, and how many social workers etc would be unemployed.
