An empty Pajaro Valley Unified School District bus passed hundreds of loud marchers including crowds of high-school students who took the day off in boycott assembled along Main Street by the Watsonville Plaza on Thursday afternoon. It was an hours-long local gesture to oppose immigration tactics proposed by President Donald Trump and solidarity with the national effort known as a Day Without Immigrants. The protest called on all immigrants to abstain from work, school or shopping.

Muchas gracias los illegals. Anyhow if the school district lost half a million due to the protest I suggest taking out of the state mandated ethnic studies curriculum budget. Just don't care for the Mexican flags in the accompanying photos. Imagine the outrage if they were Russian flags.
A permanent boycott seems reasonable to me ;’}
“...she calculated the district lost more than $410,000 Thursday.”
Back in the late 1960s I remember reading stories about the need to begin closing schools because the birth rate was so low. About the same time invasion of illegals began in earnest. Coincidence?
Proof positive that we can do without them.Let them leave and take all the sympathizers with them.I love my children but would not put up with them supporting this unless they were out on their own making a living.
“Almost a third of the districts student body was absent on Thursday, generating a funding dilemma for the average-daily-attendance money the state bestows per student, district Chief Business Officer Melody Canady said. With more than 7,600 students absent, she calculated the district lost more than $410,000 Thursday.”
LOL, “As ye sow so shall ye reap”
Message to supporters of ILLEGAL ALIEB LAW BREAKERS, “Life sucks, then you die” Deal with it.
Which proves how many billions of dollars American taxpayers have spent attempting to educate Mexico’s children since that abusive SCOTUS ruling of the ‘80s forcing US states to fund the education of the children of illegals. A major part of the failure of American schools is due to loading down the system with children who are illiterate in two languages and requiring minorities to be coddled with lax discipline, making it impossible for all children to learn in many public schools.
Just a very expensive tax payer baby sitting service. Throw them all out.
Every last one of them need to be EXPELLED FROM SCHOOL!
Imagine how much more the American kids learned that day, without the bilingual and other-societal distractions.
Multiply $400,000 by all the illimmigrant heavy schools in America...
I see unintended consequences befalling these protestors.
On this morning’s news we learned that high-schoolers here in Idaho walked out to protest Trump’s appointment for the Dept of Education. I bet not a one of them know ANYTHING ABOUT HER. We have got to get the leftists out of our schools. The brainwashing is shameful.
I suppose they are back in school today with an excused absence.
That is reason number schools want illegals plus, they need to hire even more union dues paying teachers to teach English and bilingual classes. Then there’s all the councillors and social workers. It’s a gold mine for government employees.
Little late to the party?
so they will be on the streets instead causing trouble?
The POLICE used to ARREST YOU FOR BEING TRUANT, and if Expelled we had Reform Schools where you went to LIVE AND GO TO SCHOOL, Your Parents were BILLED for the Cost.
in LOS ANGELES
In the San Fernando Valley we had 2, Pacific Boys Lodge and Rancho San Antonio Boys Club.
This was in the early 70’s
You missed the test so you got an F. You didn’t get the homework assignment so you’ll get an F on that too. And you cut class so you’re getting detention.
Yes, but the streets would be in their homeland of Mexico or Guatemala.
The more time these young ass hats spend in school the dumber they get.

...
Now they know how many schools they can close once the illegals are deported. That will save money.
