Joe DiGenova, the former US attorney and one of the sharpest legal minds in DC, laid out the correct response the other day. Attorney General Sessions should impanel a grand jury and start sifting through evidence. Get Brennan, Ben Rhodes and the other likely suspects under oath and start grilling them.
At a minimum, there will be contradictions and outright lies in their testimony. The list of felony charges will begin with making a false statement to a federal agent. Handled properly, the investigation and trial should put away the leakers for a long, long time. And who knows, they might get lucky and find BHO’s fingerprints on something.
Wonder if Rhodes’ brother (who is president of CBS News) will send a crew to cover his sibling’s perp walk?
But, as you point out, there WILL BE lies and exaggerations and mis-directions throughout their testimony. Would you expect anything else?
