With paragraphs ... sorry

Today, TransCanada submitted its application to build the Keystone XL pipeline to the Nebraska Public Service Commission.

[1]With the shocking silencing of the massive public outcry against this pipeline by President Trump’s State Dept. — which said that the federal government is “not inviting further comment at this time”

[2] — Bold’s efforts will now turn to focus on Nebraska, where the Public Service Commission today begins a process that takes up to a year, and includes public hearings and other opportunities for you to make your voices heard.
Landowners in Nebraska will also continue to mount legal challenges to TransCanada’s claim of eminent domain authority to seize their land against their will for the pipeline.

ACTION: Send a hand-written letter to the Nebraska Public Service Commission (PSC) with your concerns about the Keystone XL pipeline.

In your letter, be sure to include your full mailing address for a response, let the commissioners know why you are against the Keystone XL pipeline, and urge the PSC to reject TransCanada’s permit application. Here are some facts to consider:

• As an agriculture-based state, we do not need to take more agricultural land out of production for a foreign pipeline.

• The pipeline needs to be rerouted to avoid the sandy porous soils of the Sandhills, shallow water tables, and recharge part of the Ogallala aquifer.

• Urge the PSC to require that TransCanada “twin” Keystone XL with its existing Keystone I pipeline — which would see Keystone XL constructed inside the existing easements and established pipeline corridor in Nebraska.

TO: Nebraska Public Service Commission

1200 N Street, Suite 300

Lincoln, NE 68508

Address your letter to all five Nebraska Public Service Commission Members:
• Frank Landis: District 1
• Crystal Rhoades: District 2 (Omaha)
• Tim Schram: District 3
• Rod Johnson: District 4
• Mary Ridder: District 5

They are admitting to being part of the protests. Send them a bill for the cleanup and freeze their account till it is paid in full.

Aren’t these the same Lincoln and Omaha liberals along with some wealthy land owners who hijacked the former Governor into fighting it in the first place?

The pipeline has been re-routed away from the Ogallala Aquifer and it’s hardly the first pipeline to cross agricultural land, but it will be the most modern and sophisticated in the event something does occur.
