President Donald Trump's choice for national security adviser, retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward, has turned down the offer, sources familiar with Harward's decision said on Thursday.

Harward was offered the job after Michael Flynn was fired by Trump on Monday for misleading Vice President Mike Pence over his conversations with Russia's ambassador to the United States.

Two sources familiar with the decision said Harward turned down the job in part because he wanted to bring in his own team.

Not buying the report...”

Agree, particularly since it’s from Newsmax. We may never know the real why.

I don't have a problem with women in the military as long as they can meet the physical and mental requirements (which are not reduced to give them an advantage).

If a woman can outperform a male Navy SEAL or a Marine, give them a slot.

Otherwise, give them a REMF slot.

Zerohedge is basically a blog.

That said, Newsmax is only a little bit better.

Folks who are hired or appointed, don’t get to bring in their own teams.

Very odd.

Then he owed it to the country and the President to turned it down immediately...and not 2 days later.

Effing prima donna.

He is living overseas and said that he would accept the job if his wife agreed to move to Washington. I’m betting she vetoed it.

It doesn’t bother me to have women in the military. My MOM was one of the first to enlist in the ARMY during WORLD WAR II.

This paragraph was the “red flag” for me...

“Awareness is the first step. Today, on International Day of the Girl, the Nike Foundation is delivering a groundbreaking declaration to the UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon. Created in partnership with 25 organizations and signed by leaders such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Queen Rania of Jordan and Care CEO Helen Gayle, the declaration demands that girls’ education be at the heart of the new millennium development goals. Room to Read, A New Day Cambodia, Camfed and many other organizations continue to work in some of the most challenging regions to promote and protect gender equity. Released earlier this year, Girl Rising spotlights the stories and strength of nine girls who are fighting for an education. The powerful film has evolved into a full-blown global campaign that galvanizes people to take action in support of girls’ education.’

It could be Maddog told DJT he was going to bring in candidates to help flush out these leaks. On the other thread, he’s quoted talking about disfuntionality, maybe that was the codeword he was using and Priebus’ phone calls to candidates is being tapped.

Maybe his wife is “his own team” that he wanted to bring.

This would be a great time to punk the media.
Two phrases come to mind.
‘bringing back Flynn’ and or ‘Considering Steve Bannon.’
