Neighborhood kid in the USMC was taken off Humvee driving duty in Afghanistan because he was too aggressive. So they made him gunner and gave him a (MK19?) 40 mm Automatic Grenade Launcher. Love it.

Not sure if my boy shot one in basic or Marine Combat Training. He had a free shot at the end, so he shot one from the hip, paintball style. Managed to get it inside the hole of an old tank hulk that didn’t have a turret. Instructor muttered “Good shot, Marine”. Memories ...
