You're absolutely right. They have been warriors fighting against Islam for centuries. When I saw the headline I was wondering whether the ignorati would get the first comments in. Very glad they didn't.

Sikhs are a minority religion in India, and have been at near constant war with Muslims over the centuries in North India - Its founders were killed by the Muslim Mughal invaders/rulers of India in the 15th century.
Not only are they “different” from Muslims, their religion and personal ethics have been greatly influenced by their persecution and oppression by Islam.
