Justice Dept warned White House that Flynn could be vulnerable to Russian blackmail, officials say

The acting attorney general informed the Trump White House late last month that she believed Michael Flynn had misled senior administration officials about the nature of his communications with the Russian ambassador to the United States, and warned that the national security adviser was potentially vulnerable to Russian blackmail, current and former U.S. officials said.

The message, delivered by Sally Q. Yates and a senior career national security official to the White House counsel, was prompted by concerns that Flynn, when asked about his calls and texts with the Russian diplomat, had told Vice President-elect Mike Pence and others that he had not discussed the Obama administration sanctions on Russia for its interference in the 2016 election, the officials said. It is unclear what the White House counsel, Donald McGahn, did with the information.

WP worried about an administration official being vulnerable to blackmail from Russia.

That’s actually funny.

Yates, then the deputy attorney general, considered Flynn’s comments in the intercepted call to be “highly significant” and “potentially illegal,” according to an official familiar with her thinking.

So Obama’s holdover acting AG — based on eavesdropping of phone conversations — says a Trump official acted illegally, and Washington Post trumpets the claim.

Trump better not buckle to this smear. the Justice Department needs to go after the leakers of an eavesdropped phone conversation

If DJT doesn't investigate and prosecute the previous administration for the excrement-storm of corruption they unleashed on the US Government, the Democrats are going to pin it all on him when it finally does come out.

Right-— Sally Yates.... who was fired because she would not enforce the law. The WaPo will just NOT give this up. What idiocy for them to publish this “reveal”. As if the entire process and Flynn’s actions were not known to Pence and Trump in the first place.

One more example of an obamaumao “holdover” doing the work of of obamaumao as he ramped up retaliation for the Russian so-called interference in the elections, and sent 7K US troops to the Kalinngrad/Polish border to further intimidate and fuse up a confrontation with the Russians (which Flynn de-fused, in essence). And Yates reveals this so helpfully in her continuing loyalty to the Left and obamaumao. How fitting. The ALT-LEFT continues its rampage. They are criminally insane against the stability and safety of Americans for their globalist agenda.

FBI cleared Flynn along the way here. Yates is one sycophant whack job who thinks she decides what laws are enforced— she learned that from cankles Loretta Lynch and Eric the Red Holder.

I have to believe this is a political test by the MSM on Trump. They are using what pressure they have to force him to make a move.

I have to think Trump is too smart for this. If he does not back up General Flynn he demonstrates to everyone on his staff he will not stand up for them when they do something wrong.

The MSM will use this for story lines for months and then use it to fuel other fires they can create.

President Trump I know your too smart to fall for this political bait. Stand by your people even when they mess up unless it is something major no one could stand up for.

If you lose confidence in them then privately give them a side role for a time and part with them at a time everyone can save face. Your staff will then have confidence that you have their back, just like we have yours.

Which Justice Dept.? Sally Yates? If Sessions said it, okay, but not any of those holdovers. Holdovers spying on the White House most likely AND those in the administration. If Flynn lied about the Russians what else has he been doing or leaking.

If Trump doesn’t lift the last round of Russian sanctions asap he will effectively lose control (if he ever had it) of foreign policy. This is a make or break moment

Sally Q. Yates, she’s the Justice Dept nutcase fired for telling her people to obstruct Trump’s orders on immigration.

This woman conspired with HER FBI to conduct surveillance on Trump and his people. This was a democrat operation.

SALLY YATES seems to have singlehandedly invented this fake scandal, and leaked it to the media

Oh, take heart. We now know that somebody knew darn well what Hillry Clinton and her gang of thieves were up to, and NOBODY did anything. So Flynn resigned, and we the people can move forward in draining the cesspool, whether they call themselves democrat or republican.

It’s really very simple.

We can’t have a National Security Adviser that says anything to any foreign national and doesn’t know that we eavesdrop on nearly all of their communications, especially in DC.

Certainly, the Obama White House was given a transcript of the full conversation in real time.

Flynn will be lucky to not be prosecuted.
